- You should brush twice a day (always spit don't rinse) with a fluoride toothpaste containing at least 1450ppm fluoride.
- Your dentist might prescribe you with a higher strength fluoride toothpaste (2800ppm F or 5000ppm F) you can only get this on prescription, it is important to contact us if you run out between your appointments.
- Your dentist may prescribe you a fluoride mouthwash to use inbetween brushing, you can also purchase this from most pharmacies or supermarkets but this must only be used at a different time to brushing your teeth such as after a meal.
- Contact your regular dental clinic if you need a new prescription
- Keep sugary drinks and snacks to meal times only
- Have any sugary treats straight after a meal
- Safe drinks for inbetween meals include water, milk, tea and coffee (without sugar)
- Safe snacks for inbetween meals include fresh fruit,vegetable sticks, crackers, chippati's etc.
