  • Clinical Case Management of autistic people with forensic needs in the community (via conditional discharge/CTO)
  • Collaborative safety planning with autistic people at risk of offending in the community
  • Supervision/advice/guidance to other agencies working with Autistic people (Probation/Police/ASC/DSR/CTR)

Forensic Lead for Autistic People

I am a registered mental health nurse and lead for the Autism Forensic Service at MPFT.

Forensic Liaison for Autistic People

I have worked with people with Autism for the past 18 years, first as a support worker and a classroom assistant. I later trained as a Mental Health Nurse and worked in a medium secure forensic hospital for five years on the PICU and Rehabilitation before taking up my current role as Forensic Liaison for Autistic People.

Clinical Psychologist

Since I completed my Clinical Psychology Doctorate in 2009, I have worked across different settings including secure hospitals, prisons, intensive support teams and the community learning disability team. I have worked with autistic people throughout my career and have been qualified to assess and diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorders since 2011.

Mental Health Liaison for Autistic Adults

I am a Social Worker and I work as a mental health liaison worker for autistic adults across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.

This means that I see autistic adults when they are admitted to a local psychiatric hospital. We look together at reasonable adjustments and at support whilst people are in hospital. I also support Care Coordinators / Keyworkers at MPFT when they are working with an adult who is autistic. This is to promote understanding of autism and to support the work of the MPFT teams.

Team Secretary

I help with general enquiries from patients and other services. I am also heavily involved in the day-to-day tasks such as, booking appointments, updating clinical systems, and sending out reports and letters. I joined the team in 2022 and enjoy being part of a very caring and professional service.

Forensic Liaison for Autistic People

I support autistic adults who have forensic histories, to avoid unnecessary hospital admission and/or support with appropriate and safe discharge from hospital settings. I work as part of the MDT setting and ensure that reasonable adjustments have been made for each individual and that the appropriate services are involved and co-ordinated.
