Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust provides physical and mental health, learning disability and adult social care services across a wide geographical area.
MPFT has four clinical care groups that deliver our services along with our Estates and Facilities and Corporate departments. Being a Foundation Trust means we have a responsibility to involve our local community, service users and staff in the services we provide and ensure they have a real voice. The Membership Council ensures a forum through which organisational decisions can be influenced and challenged.
Members of the Trust have a greater say in how the Trust is run and how services are developed. Members can elect representatives (Governors) to the Council of Governors, stand for election themselves, receive regular updates about the Trust and be consulted on plans for future developments and services. The governors work with our Trust's board of directors to agree the future plans of the organisation. The governors also have the right to appoint the Trust's chairperson and non-executive directors.
All staff employed by MPFT are automatically members of the Trust (unless they choose to opt out). Staff governors are elected by staff members to represent their views and interests through the Council of Governors.

Below are some essential topics for you to understand during your first week along with any forms to complete and services to register for.
Your local induction should be conducted by your line manager in your first couple of days. They will access this alongside other eForms on the eForms webpage.
This is the system we use to complete all mandatory training, including the corporate induction. You can also use it to view and download your payslips.
Loop is the system used by all employees to view their roster and request leave. If you have a bank contract, you are able to view and book available bank shifts on Loop.
You can download the Loop app to your mobile device via the App Store. The app is designed for both Android and Apple phones and tablets.

This is the system we use to request our expenses and car registration.
Car parking at MPFT sites is free of charge to all staff, patients, and visitors.
Several of our sites are monitored by ANPR to ensure no authorised use. All staff need to ensure that they have registered all vehicles they use to attend work via the e-Forms system.

Training is delivered over Microsoft Teams on Clinical Systems, Microsoft Applications and other Trust systems. Visit our intranet site to find information, advice on how to get access, training available, SOPs, user guides, videos and where to go for support.
To ensure that all our Windows accounts are secure, we use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA is a process that requires you to provide two or more forms of authentication to gain access to an application or online account.
This means, as well as typing in a password, every now and then you will need to approve the device you are working on from another device known to you - via text message (Personal or Work mobile) or Microsoft Authentication App. We encourage all staff to set up the Authentication app on two devices or add an email as an additional authentication method.

Car parking at MPFT sites is free of charge to all staff, patients, and visitors. Several of our sites are monitored by ANPR to ensure no authorised use.

Patients, visitors or contractors (if not already registered) to the sites will be required to log their car registration details in the iPad at each of the reception desks, this needs to be done at each visit.

The money you pay in is tax free and the NHS also makes contributions to your pension savings. You have the choice to opt out of the NHS pension scheme – but you should consider this carefully as the benefits payable to you in the future are valuable.

Your salary will be paid into your bank or building society account on 28th day of the month. Where the 28th falls on a weekend or bank holiday, payday will be the immediately preceding banking business day.
