I am an Occupational Therapist working for MPFT across the Shropshire Learning Disabilities Intensive Support Team and Intensive Health Outreach Team. Before joining the Trust, I worked in an inpatient mental health and learning disability specialist hospital focusing on treatment and rehabilitation.
I have enjoyed setting up service user vocational programmes, promoting healthy living and meaningful engagement in my previous job and continue to focus on improving quality of life in my current roles through positive behaviour support development and assessment of activities of daily living.
Working across two teams can be intense as the name suggests, but it is also great to be part of a multidisciplinary team that work together towards improving the lives of the people we support.
When I’m not at work, I spend most of my time outdoors with my two dogs on countryside walks or doing some sort of physical activity to look after my own wellbeing. I am also a big food person, so I love to cook and bake in my spare time.
