The patient voice is, without doubt becoming a focal point – or should I say vocal point - in so many arenas these days. I have been very privileged, as you will have read so often to be involved in a large number of projects and studies where the patient’s perspective is valued.

Some things are better shared than being kept to yourself. Recently I attended a vibrant and very interesting meeting hosted by Keele University’s Impact Accelerator Unit under the banner of Keele Deal Health – Musculoskeletal (MSK) Community of Practice. A lengthy title, but the information and resources coming from it are worthy of the name. So informative were the presentations I want to share them with you.

Is co-operation synonymous with integration? If co-operation is the act of working together to the same end, and integration is the process of joining two or more entities together then the answer is surely “yes”.

For over 12 months I have had the privilege of being involved in a large number of service transformation and development projects both within the Trust and in the wider health and care landscape. What a 12 months it has been. The variety of the work has been very interesting and fulfilling in equal measure.
