Matthew Missen, Public Health Registrar for the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board said: “Christmas is a time when people come together with family, friends and loved ones and often in one household.
“Therefore, it’s important that we try and prevent the spread of flu to people who may be more vulnerable, such as elderly grandparents and prevent children from becoming really unwell.”
The clinics are available on the following dates, and can be booked via appointment only:
- Barton-under-Needwood Fire Station, DE13 8LB - Saturday 9 December, 9.30am-3pm
- Sandyford Fire Station, ST6 5ED - Saturday 9 December, 9.30am-3pm
- Rising Brook Health Centre, Stafford, ST17 9LY - Wednesday 20 December, 10am-6pm
- Tamworth Rugby Club, B79 8ED - Wednesday 20 December, 3pm-7pm
- Meir Matters Hub, ST3 7DJ - Wednesday 20 December, 3pm-6pm
- Leek Moorlands Hospital, Room 10, ST13 5BQ - Thursday 21 December, 10am-5pm
- Smallthorne Health Centre, ST6 1SA - Thursday 21 December, 9.30am-3pm

Kate Cox, Head of Children’s Universal Services for MPFT added: “The flu vaccination is the best defence we have against catching and spreading the virus, and with winter now well and truly here it’s important to stay protected. The team will be out and about across the county ensuring as many children as possible are able to receive the vaccine to enable them, their family and friends to remain flu safe."
