Steve Grange to leave MPFT and take up reins as CEO of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust page thumbnail

It is with mixed emotions that we announce Steve Grange, our Deputy CEO and Executive Director of Strategy and Strategic Transformation, will be leaving MPFT at the end of September to assume the role of CEO at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.

Steve has been a valuable member of MPFT and its predecessor organisations for almost 20 years, contributing significantly to our growth and success during that time. His strategic vision has been pivotal in shaping our commercial approach, which in turn has helped to support the Trust's ongoing strong financial performance and allowed MPFT to provide a diverse range of services to meet the needs of our patients and communities.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is a well-regarded organisation providing integrated community and mental health services. The Trust employs more than 4,500 staff and is recognised for its commitment to innovation and research in patient care.

MPFT's CEO Neil Carr said: "We are delighted for Steve as he embarks on this new chapter in his career. His appointment as CEO is a significant achievement and a proud moment for MPFT, highlighting our success in nurturing the next generation of senior NHS leaders. Steve's contribution to our Trust, particularly in developing our commercial strategy, has been significant. On a personal level, I have very much enjoyed working alongside Steve and commend his energy, passion and enthusiasm for improving our population’s health and wellbeing. It has been a pleasure to work alongside Steve over a significant number of years and I wish him all the best in his new role."

Reflecting on his departure, Steve added: "Leaving MPFT is a bittersweet moment for me. After giving so much of my career to the organisation, I do so with a heavy heart. However, I'm thrilled to take on the role of CEO at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. I will always cherish my time at MPFT and look back on these years with immense fondness and gratitude."

As we bid farewell to Steve, Neil and the board will now take some time to consider the next steps regarding future arrangements. We will provide a further update in due course.
