The Trust is proud to also have been shortlisted for NHS Communications Initiative of the Year for its innovative work involving Hep C U Later.
MPFT’s Inclusion service works in partnership with Hep C U Later, a collaboration between the NHS Provider Addictions Alliance (chaired by MPFT), NHS England and Gilead Sciences. Through this, the Trust has enjoyed great success, having achieved ‘micro-elimination’ of hepatitis c within all its community-based alcohol and drug treatment services.
In addition, the Stoke-on-Trent Catalyst Project has been shortlisted for Provider Collaborative of the Year.
MPFT works alongside Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board to deliver the pilot project, which provides integrated, holistic, and person-centred support both to vulnerable young people in Stoke-on-Trent who are on the edge of care and their families, protecting them from harm, and ensuring they remain at home where this is in their best interests.
Neil Carr, MPFT Chief Executive said: “I’m truly delighted MPFT has been shortlisted in multiple HSJ Awards, including Trust of the Year. We have a compelling story to tell; one of achievement, excellence and partnership – driven by inspirational staff working in health and adult social care services whose care, compassion and dedication are the organisation’s greatest asset and make MPFT a fantastic place to work.
“Awards shine a spotlight on excellence, so to have been selected as a finalist not just in Trust of the Year, but for a diverse range of other categories underscores why I’m so proud to lead this organisation.”
