As a leading provider of mental health and learning disability services, MPFT is committed to supporting the growth and development of its workforce. The Trust offers a range of 28 different apprenticeship standards in a variety of roles, including nursing, administration, psychological wellbeing practitioners and digital, in partnership with the NSCG and other academic establishments across the country.
The Trust’s apprentices have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field while earning a salary. They also receive support from experienced mentors and have access to the Trust’s extensive training and development programs.
Head of Workforce Development and Transformation, Angie Astley, oversees the strategic apprenticeships agenda across MPFT. Angie said: “I am thrilled that the Workforce Development and Transformation Team have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to this very important agenda.”
Claire French, MPFT’s Workforce Development and Agenda for Change Manager added: “The team and I are delighted to receive such recognition on behalf of MPFT. We know that apprenticeships help develop our staff individually but we also know how important they are in allowing our teams to provide the best service possible to our service users. Here at MPFT we offer an array of apprenticeship standards which fit in all sectors of the organisation.
“I must thank all those who provide support and guidance to our apprentices in the workplace and we thank NSCG for recognising our commitment to the development of our apprentices.”
