We are delighted to announce that Feroz Patel has been appointed as the new Chief Finance Officer (CFO) for MPFT, following a comprehensive recruitment process. His appointment is subject to the completion of final HR and governance procedures.

Feroz brings a wealth of experience in NHS finance, having most recently served as the Recovery and Transformation Director for the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board since June 2023. Prior to this he re-joined Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in 2019 as Chief Finance Officer, having previously held a number of senior finance roles within the organisation after first joining in 2006. Between 2015 and 2019, Feroz served as Director of Finance at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, where he further developed his leadership in healthcare finance and strategic management before returning to Blackpool.

Neil Carr, Chief Executive of MPFT, said:  "We are thrilled to welcome Feroz to MPFT as our new Chief Finance Officer. His wealth of experience across a range of healthcare settings, coupled with his leadership in finance and transformation, will bring invaluable expertise to our board. We look forward to working closely with Feroz as we continue to deliver the best outcomes for the communities we serve."

Feroz Patel expressed his enthusiasm at joining MPFT. He said:  "I am very pleased to be joining MPFT, an organisation with a strong reputation for innovation and delivering excellent care. I look forward to working with colleagues across the Trust to build on its financial resilience and support the delivery of high-quality services for the people we serve, as well as supporting the wider systems in which the Trust works."

Feroz will be replacing Chris Sands, who leaves MPFT at the end of this month to take up the role of Chief Finance Officer at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. More information on Feroz's expected start date will be communicated in due course. In the meantime, Marianne Cleeve will continue in her role as Acting Chief Finance Officer.
