Deputy Chief Executive appointed page thumbnail

We are pleased to announce that Liz Lockett, our Chief Nurse and Director of Quality & Professional Leadership, has been appointed as Deputy Chief Executive.

This follows the recent announcement that Steve Grange, Director of Strategy and Commercial Development and current Deputy CEO, will be leaving the organisation at the end of this month to take up the role of Chief Executive at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.

The Deputy Chief Executive plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across our services.

Liz will be a key partner to Chief Executive, Neil Carr, providing strategic and operational leadership while ensuring our Trust continues to meet the highest standards of clinical excellence, safety, and financial sustainability. In this role, Liz will step in for Neil at key meetings and engagements when necessary and will assume the responsibilities of acting Chief Executive during any periods of absence.

On Liz's appointment, Neil said:

"Liz is a highly respected and experienced leader within the Trust. Her commitment to our values, her focus on quality, and her passion for patient care make her the ideal candidate for the Deputy Chief Executive role. I have no doubt she will be instrumental in helping drive MPFT forward, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with her as we deliver the best possible care to the communities we serve."
