On the 21st May, staff members attended The Access Group conference to learn about upcoming changes and new features for our core electronic patient record (EPR) system, RiO. At the conference, Shaun Allcock, Head of Health & Social Care Systems, and Jack Gould, DCF Programme Manager, presented MPFT’s digital journey. They detailed the co-designed digital strategy, the full business case process for obtaining national funding, and the programme and project structures now in place to deliver these initiatives.
Thanks to DCF Funding, we have acquired a number of desktop hardware items including monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and mice. As we enhance our core clinical system, we aim to ensure staff have the right IT equipment to utilise it effectively. We have been working with our colleagues in the S&SHIS and the Digital Angels team to pull together a schedule of site visits, starting with our priority sites.
GP Connect went live in February 2024 and provides MPFT Clinicians with access to GP data. This help provide a more detailed range of patient information at the point of care to help clinicians make informed decisions. We have since shared feedback surveys which have captured the following benefits data and quotations. This data is as of 14.06.24 and may change as the survey remains open.
The latest report includes comprehensive updates on all DCF-funded projects, detailing the progress and developments achieved so far. Notably, it also highlights the completion of the appointment process for various key roles within these projects. Every role has now been filled, ensuring that all necessary positions are staffed. With a fully appointed team, we are well-equipped to drive our digital transformation forward and achieve our strategic goals.
